This is a small mom and pop place located in the Stater Brothers plaza. Sushi, tempura and teriyaki are the main items on the menu.
I met a good friend here for lunch. He comes here often as he lives nearby. The owner/server was very congenial and greeted my friend warmly, recognizing him as a regular. We sat at a table and were brought menus and a bowl of miso soup.
I decided on a chicken & beef teriyaki plate that came with rice and salad. The beef pieces were tender as was the chicken although the pieces of chicken were rather dry. The teriyaki sauce here is excellent and I combined my rice with the excess on the plate; quite tasty indeed.
Prices are great for the amount of food you receive. It's not going to be the best place you ever ate but certainly well above average for a small sushi/tempura/teriyaki joint. -

My husband loved the teriyaki plate! I wasn't feeling the sushi. Great service clean place!

Midori Japanese Grill is a cool spot in La Mirada. The sushi rolls are great as well as the tempura. There is a great variety of items to choose from, I've never had anything that I was disappointed with. The customer service is great, the atmosphere is nice and clean. Prices are reasonable.

Been here twice. The first was roughly 2 years ago, and most recently was 2 weeks ago.
The good:
- Service was very friendly and welcoming.
- Enough parking being located in the same little plaza as Stater Bros.
- Miso soup had about 5 chunks of tofu. Other places give 2 or 3 tiny bits.
The meh:
- Basically the food... Had the salmon bento. Way too much rice for a small piece of salmon. I was expecting grilled salmon, but it seemed like it was pan fried in a little bit of coating... The salmon also seemed like the previously frozen kind.
- Kids had the chicken teriyaki. Thought the chicken was way too white in color, like it has been boiled, then pan fried afterwards. Didn't taste it, so not entirely sure how it went.
2 years ago I had the soft shell crab and I thought that was alright.
